Development and Marketing Coordinator

 

Echoing Hope Ranch (EHR) is searching for the newest member of our team! Join an agency that is dedicated to providing Growth, Discovery & Lifelong Learning to teens and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Development & Marketing Coordinator (DMC) will help us keep growing, and enable us to expand our services to more people in need.

Introduction:

The DMC will serve as part of Echoing Hope Ranch’s Management Team, working alongside the Executive Director, Office Manager, Program Director, and Ranch Manager. The DMC is responsible for helping Echoing Hope Ranch to raise funds and to promote our work through marketing and social media.

Each individual with autism has a unique set of skills and strengths. Identifying these strengths, developing them and putting them to good use creates a greater quality of life for these individuals — whether that is the pride and comfort of taking care of and living in a comfortable home, participating in a social environment, or contributing through volunteering or working in their community.

The Position:

Marketing/Communications

  • Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the organization and articulate our mission and programs to internal and external constituents.
  • Lead internal and external marketing efforts to create, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns to build awareness of, enthusiasm for, and financial contributions to Echoing Hope Ranch.
  • Serve as the organization’s editor, brand-maker, and gatekeeper for publications, social media posts, and other publicly facing documents.
  • Develop brand initiatives, internal communications and external media relations.
  • Manage media relations and maximize positive media opportunities.
  • Oversee content and design development of all Echoing Hope Ranch publications such as website, newsletters, press releases, email announcements, videos, photos, etc.

Revenue Generation

  • Lead efforts to raise $250,000-350,000 annually in unrestricted donations – with plans to grow in the next three years through corporate, individual, foundations, and grant funding.
  • Identify and implement new revenue streams, with a focus on increasing sustainable unrestricted, private revenue.
  • Lead the creation and growth of a new framework for individual giving with estate planning, sustainers and bequests.
  • Partner with Executive Director, Management Team, and Board of Directors to deepen existing funder relationships and cultivate new supporters.
  • Evaluate and drive the use of technology funding vehicles, including social media and electronic giving platforms.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including some weekends, evenings holidays.
  • Engage regularly in persuasive public speaking and writing to support EHR.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion according to all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and standards of practice.
  • Superior writing and editing skills in English language for multiple audiences, including social media posts, blogs, grants, opinion editorials, and annual reports.
  • Work on multiple tasks with a high level of organization, attention to detail, and quick deadlines.
  • Consistently utilize computer programs with integrity to promote EHR’s brand, including Bloomerang, MailChimp, G Suite products, and web content management systems, such as WordPress.
  • Conduct fundraising strategies that yield targeted financial contributions through ethical use of grant writing, donor prospecting, direct appeals, and events.
  • Organize campaigns and events that lead to soliciting donations.
  • Monitor budgets, expense reports, and other financial data for management and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of directly related experience, preferably in a development department of a nonprofit or health-related organization
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; persuasive, credible and polished communicator in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills, including G Suite, email marketing software, and fundraising database management; ability to use/learn web content management systems, such as WordPress.
  • Must meet background check and fingerprinting requirements.

 

Salary: $35,000 - $45,000
