The Lenfest Scholars Foundation seeks an experienced educator to help execute the foundation's mission to help support rural, lower-income Pennsylvania students succeed in college and beyond. It is an exciting time to join the Foundation, which is in the midst of a strategic planning process, is poised to deepen and broaden its impact in the coming years.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
* Support the Lenfest Scholars Scholarship Program through counseling scholars and their families throughout the college admission process, during college and after college
* Read and evaluate applications as well as interview potential scholars
* Develop high school partner relationships through strategic travel and implementing new programming
* Engage alumni scholars through building of a formal alumni association, facilitating alumni programs and events
* Manage relationship with the College Advising Corps
* Plan and implement the annual Lenfest Community Weekend with staff
* Produce quarterly newsletters
* Maintain and produce content for web site
* Implement and research new and emerging technologies

* Demonstrated ability to work with high school and college students from backgrounds underrepresented in American colleges, especially selective colleges
* Familiarity with current issues of inequitable college access and a passion to increase access for students from underrepresented groups
* Ability to earn the trust of high schools and parents as well as students
* Possess strong ties to and knowledge about selective colleges that will make possible significant help to our scholars as they apply to college and will assure a selection team that includes representatives of selective colleges
* Ability to guide our scholars before, during, and after college
* Experience effectively developing new programs
* Strong communication and listening skills
* Ability to work in a team and independently to meet ambitious goals
* Master's Degree Required

Other requirements:
* Possession of a valid driver's license
* Ability to travel for short periods of time throughout the year
