CEUs and Certificate

Learners who want a recognized credential for their resumes can choose to earn 4.8 continuing education units (CEUs) and the Certificate of Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Michigan State University awards the CEUs, while Michigan State University Extension and the Society for Nonprofits jointly award the Certificate of Excellence.

To earn the Certificate and 4.8 CEUs, learners must participate in all 8 programs in the Certificate Series and successfully complete additional assignments. Learners can also earn .6 CEUs by completing the assignments from individual programs.

All assignments are evaluated on a pass/fail basis.
