DescriptionThe Association supports the professional development of philosophers at all levels and works to foster greater understanding and appreciation of the value of philosophical inquiry. The Association accepts applications for two grant programs: the Small Grant program and Diversity and Inclusiveness Funding. Small grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to projects that benefit the field of philosophy. Under the Diversity and Inclusiveness Funding program, the Association will award one or two grants to projects that address the lack of demographic diversity within the field. Grants in this area are awarded for ideas to increase the presence and participation of women, racial and ethnic minorities, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgendered/queer people, people with disabilities, people with low socio-economic status, and other represented groups.
