DescriptionThe Foundation, created in 2000 by Major League Baseball All-Star pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen, supports programs that directly serve critical needs of children in severe emotional, physical, or financial distress. In addition to helping children in Washington State, the Foundation also funds Camp Erin, the largest network of bereavement camps in the country for children and teens who are grieving a significant loss; Camp Mariposa for children affected by addiction in their families; and community partnerships in Washington State that help raise awareness and support initiatives that share in the mission of helping children in distress. Grants are awarded three times a year and applications are due March 1, June 1, and September 1. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
