DescriptionThe Company’s grantmaking supports the communities in which it operates and society in general. Cash and product contributions are made to support a variety of worthy causes and nonprofits. The Company supports projects and programs in education, health and human services, civic and community initiatives, arts and culture, and the environment. Of particular interest are causes that support kids and kids at risk. Funding emphasis is placed on the needs of communities in which the Company employs a substantial number of people and on programs and institutions reasonably related to its business purposes and needs. Organizations outside the immediate areas of the Company’s manufacturing facilities, with the exception of national and statewide organizations whose programs complement Hershey’s funding priorities are not eligible to apply. Organizations located in communities in which the Company has manufacturing operations should direct requests for funding to the management of the facility in their area. A list of contacts and additional information can be found on the Web site. All requests must be submitted in writing.
