American Legion Child Welfare Foundation
Category: Children, Youth & Families
DescriptionThe Foundation works to provide other nonprofits with the means to educate the public about the special needs of children across the United States. The Foundation funds projects in two areas. Organizations that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children by disseminating knowledge about new and innovative organizations and/or their programs designed to benefit youth are one funding priority. Organizations that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children by disseminating knowledge already possessed by well-established organizations in a way that such information can be more adequately used by society is the Foundation’s second funding priority. Grants must have the potential to help American children in a large geographic region (more than one state) and will not be made for any of the normal day-to-day operating expenses of the grantee or special operating expenses connected with the grant. Grants may be submitted beginning May 1. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
